With only 2 hours of sleep, I'm still awake and kicking it in LA. I've barely had a chance to breathe until today. A coworker warned me yesterday that I was going to be burned out soon. Let's see. I was dead tired from Chicago this week, but I woke up early yesterday to get into work early because I had to get so much stuff done before leaving for LA. Meetings ran until 5:30pm, which made me late for dinner at Del Frisco's. After dessert, I moved quickly to my small group that meets regularly on Friday evenings. Soon after that, I met up with Pedro and Mac Daddy who were visiting from Boston and needed my place for the weekend while I was away in LA. To bad the building is shutting off the water for 8 hours on Saturday because of street construction. Since I wasn't going to be around for the weekend, they were determined to hang out with me for this one evening. After drinking at 2 lounges/bars, late night eats at Kunjip and a little bit of karaoke, I got home by 5:30am and started packing. This gave me enough time to clean up the apt, pack and sleep a little before the car picked me up at 7am. Soon as I got off the plane, Huge picked me up and we drove directly to the golf course. I hadn't eaten all day until dinner tonight. I was hoping to go to the Eagles bar that I know in LA but due to fatigue, we returned home to watch the game. My poor Eagles lost to the Saints. Ugh! It's 9pm PST and Huge is falling asleep on the couch and I'm blogging. I told Huge that I can't go out tonight. I've reached my physical limits and I think sleep is what I finally need. The way I look at my schedule, it's like running with the bulls in Pamplona. I keep running harder and harder and hope that I don't stumble. If I slow down or relax a bit, then I may have a bull's horn up my rear end. And that could be a serious set back. Enjoying the journey -- just a tad tired today.
