"Who gets more tail: rock stars or athletes?" That's what a friend asked me while we were at an art gallery featuring Andy Summers photographs from his "I'll Be Watching You: Inside The Police, 1980-83" exhibit. Andy is the guitarist for The Police, who happens to be in town this week for a couple of shows at MSG. I did get to see them rock back in early August at MSG.

While walking around, I noticed that there were a lot of pictures of naked women. Interestingly, many of these pictures were taken in hotel rooms, and I'm assuming these were young ladies from the groupies that followed The Police back in the day. I did get to meet Andy when the camera wasn't following him around -- there was a camera following him all around the gallery. He pointed to one picture of a naked girl sprawled out with a guitar next to her, and he paused and then said "I wonder where she is today." He apparently liked this one nameless girl. Did these naked girls ever sign a waiver to release naked pixs of them? I'm guessing that these guys like all other rockers slept with a lot of random women on tour and the girl in the picture was another nameless girl who bedded a rocker.

It was an interesting crowd and I stayed longer than expected because I was hoping for a Sting appearance which never materialized. It was a mix of some models, some rockers and lots of styling people. I came dressed in work attire. Oh yeah, I saw the has been chef, Rocko Dispirito. Remember him, the guy who had a reality show called "The Restaurant."

I was so tired all day (and hungover) because I was out till midnight drinking. I ran up a $1,500 tab at the bar upstairs in Gansevoort last night and I'm not to thrilled about that. We ordered 2 jumbo bottles of champagne, sushi galore and sliders. Champagne always gets the party going, but why did I let the lady order. That was dangerous when I told her to put everything on my tab. The Gansevoort was hopping on a Monday night. I thought it'd be more pleasant but it was still pretty busy.
