Last week I was in Chicago for a work offsite. It was a lot of meetings but I managed to return home before the rains delayed the airlines at O'Hare on Friday. I decided to skip out on the Friday AM sessions and catch an earlier flight. The night before, we had a scavenger hunt through Chicago with $50 at our disposal. We had a referee follow us to make sure we completed each task accordingly and did not use additional funds beyond the $50 given.
For 3 hours, we traversed Michigan Ave and other parts of downtown Chicago. We went from Lake Michigan to the Water Tower; posed for pictures at various spots; ate a burger at the Billy Goat Tavern; and finally arrived with 2 mins to spare at Gino's East. Along the way, I was not amused by the fact that we had to stop by a Walgreens and purchase makeup to apply on the men. For half the night, I scurried through Chicago with lipstick and makeup. I'm not a pretty woman and that's a fact. We were about 1 mile away from our final destination and we had 10 mins to get there. Someone waved down a stretch limo and somehow negotiated with the driver to take our whole team one mile for $27. We arrived in style at Gino's East.
Gino's East was pretty good but I'm not used to the deep dish pizza. It's a bit soupy and messy.
