Park Avenue Spring

Last night I had to run uptown to the East Side for a dinner at Park Avenue Spring. First of all, I had never heard of the place nor had any of my friends, but it was a work dinner. Upon arriving I realized it was appropriate for exactly that, a work dinner. However, there were numerous senior citizens in the room for a dinner with other friends. So my understanding is that they change the last part of the restaurant's name based on the season. It turned to "spring" just a week ago. The food was pretty good. I started off with the usual cocktail: goose martini, extra dirty. I ordered the sashimi which was okay. For the main entree I ordered the Sirloin because the waitress told me that it's considered the best steak in NYC not from a steak house. Those are some strong fighting words, especially for a guy who is a true carnivore. Of course I ordered it medium rare and I would rate it as an 8 out of 10. Pretty good, but not fantastic. I finished off the evening with the chocolate cube and some grappa since I'm into drinks that taste like gasoline. hahahahaha
