The other night I was hosting a NCAA viewing party and there were about 100+ people flowing in and out of the lounge we rented at the sports bar. There was a morning DJ that tried crashing the party but I didn't want any part of him because the last thing I needed was some talking head chatting up how he crashed a party. Luckily he never got in, however, later in the evening I saw 4 black gentlemen crash our little party. I walked up to them and said that it was a private party, but to be nice I offered them drinks. The tall gent to my left asked me what my name was and what the party was for. I explained quickly. He then introduced himself and his posse. "I'm John Starks." I responded, "the basketball player?!" And of course it was him and his posse. I'm guessing the other tall guy was probably an ex-Knick but his name didn't resonate with me. So John and I chatted it up for 5 mins before the people at the party converged on us and the Knick fans began their idol worship of Starks, reminding him of one of the most famous dunks in playoff history against the Chicago Bulls. After 10mins, John and his Posse came over and thanked me for the drinks and said they may come back.
