I'm feeling pretty fat now a days because I haven't worked out in a couple weeks and I'm eating like a king. Yesterday I dropped by Per Se which is one of my fav restaurants in the world. The food is incredible, but so is the price ... ugh. Thomas Keller restaurants are out of this world. Someday I'll make it to French Laundry in Napa. Today it's lunch at Le Cirque, and then tomorrow it's lunch at Mario Batali's Del Posto. Over a week ago, I was at Gramercy Tavern, so it's been a gastronomically elegant time for me. I'm going to explode because the food is both outstanding and fattening. These are not places for dieters.
Out of guilt, and also because I have the Chase Corporate Challenge to run next week, I pulled my ass out of bed to run this AM. I could only snooze so much b/c my young lovely coworker showed up at my door @ 7am to make me run a practice 5k. She's a spunk of a girl who lives a few blocks away. It was over lunch she had learned that I was also running this race and she challenged my ass to get out of bed early and run with her. So we did and I almost died at the 2 mile mark, but the good thing about having someone run with you is that you're less inclined to quit. And trust me, I almost quit several times because my body hit that wall a few times. Now my thighs are pounding like a mofo and I'm feeling lightheaded.
