This morning I hopped on the Acela to Philly and had meetings. It's been so busy at work that I didn't even realize that I had to be in Philly today until 4pm yesterday when my coworker sent me his travel schedule. I was like, "What?! We're in Philly tomorrow? Do I have to go?" The response was, "we asked you a long time ago."
It was a productive meeting but an even better lunch. We had reservations at a place called XIX (Nineteen) in the Park Hyatt, which is elevated above the city. The food was pretty good and having gone through another set of grueling meetings, I ordered the wine for lunch. Afterwards, we hopped back on the Acela and returned to work by 4pm. Soon as I got back I had to prep for our company talent show. No, I don't have any talent. For some strange reason, of the 1,000 people in my office, I'm always asked to emcee these extracurricular activities at work. My comedic timing was much better this time than my previous two emcee appearances. If I give up my day job, I may consider going into comedy.... on YouTube.
After the talent show, I ran to midtown for a monthly dinner I have with these two young ladies. Tonight was the last time we were having our "supper club" because the schedules were getting to crazy to coordinate among the three of us. It was fun while it lasted, but my schedule is getting to difficult and it's not going to get any easier.
