Life with the Konman

Some nights I think about my days in NYC with Konman and we had some serious fun. We had no money, but we had fun for the pennies that we did have. I can't count the number of bars we hit up and down Manhattan. When I think back, it's crazy man, just crazy how much fun we had. I remember we were at a spring party on someone's penthouse terrace -- an actual actress who made a serious living -- and just chilling and taking in the NY skyline. I was surrounded by his peers: A bunch of actors. There was this Korean girl named Kong that arrived at the party, who said she was a model/actress. Anyway, I worked my ass off trying to talk to her. She gave me no time of day for the first half of the night, but she liquored up and finally warmed up to me. After an hour of serious flirting, she finally introduces me to her boyfriend. I was thinking, "Fuck! You gotta be kidding me." She took me to the well and throws me over. Some girls can be so cruel. A few minutes later, a Chinese girl cozies up to me and starts the heavy flirting and somehow sits on my lap during the conversation. She then says, "I like Korean guys!" In a rare moment, I had no response. Usually I have something witty to say, but I was speechless. I laughed it off because I was still sour from Kong. I then proceeded to drink my ass off that night. In my humble opinion, rejection is healthy.
