Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island is this skinny strip of land that's located between Queens and Manhattan, and accessible by a small bridge from the Queens side or by way of the F train or by the famous tram that Spiderman once saved from peril off the Queensboro bridge. It's surprsingly a nice and peaceful residential area that has nice walkways with grand views of the east side of Manhattan. My sister and her hubby live there and with the arrival of my new niece, it looks like I'll be heading to (Franklin D.) Roosevelt Island quite often. I had never stepped foot on the isle until recently, but my visits will be much more frequent. It's really an undervalued area that happens to be a pause between two boroughs. I took the tram one night and it has amazing views of the city, especially at night. I encourage my fellow Manhattanites to go take the tram over and visit a piece of history.
