A rare dinner

It's easy to get caught up on the restaurant tour in NYC because there are so many fabulous places here. What's better than hitting a Zagat's rated restaurant is a home cooked meal by an old friend. I nominated Mr. Row Boat for Mr. Nice Guy of the year back in August. For you ladies out there, you missed Mr. Dreamy because he's married already. Mr. Row Boat and his wife hosted myself and a few friends -- all from college days -- to a delicious dinner at their fabulous home. I had never been but I had heard that they had a beautiful condo and they did not disappoint. Then again, Row Boat is an architect and a great cook on the side. When I finally buy a place in NYC next year, guess who I'm going to solicit for design help.

The company was great and the food was fabulous, from Asparagus-fried egg-Parmesan cheese, to a hearty meatloaf that requires adjectives that are beyond my vocab. It's such a great pleasure to enjoy an evening with friends, and to have dinner by an incredible cook. I know more ladies read my blog then men. I know you're hoping to meet a guy who is a real man and can cook, but I hate to tell you, it's a rarity.

Anyway, I was inspired to start cooking more. If you were to crack me open, I'd be filled with MSG and salt because of all the restaurants I go to.
