Apparently watching supermodels prance along the catwalk on HDTV is losing signficant interest, according to an article in the Wash Post today. I do admit to watching only the 2nd half of it after coming back from an evening event. I do know that Darko has the last 5 years recorded on his DVR as he pointed out to me that I linked to the 2005 show on YouTube. Only he would know that. Supermodels in lingerie look the same to me.
I do agree with the reason why people are tuning out, that they let the models talk. Models are best seen, not heard. I wonder what fascinating conversations Leo and Gisele used to have? Let's imagine for a sec.
*Gisele speaks with a Brazilian accent
Gisele: Leo, I'm bored
Leo: OK, let's talk
Gisele: We finally get to talk?! Let me think, hmmmmmm? What do you think about global warming?
Leo: The earth is getting hot.
Gisele: So you think it should be "Global Hotting"?
Leo: Yeah, whatever. That's why I drive a fuel efficient car so there's less heat contributing to the Global Hotting. Let's go have sex.
Gissele: OK. You made me so happy. We finally talked.
Leo: Right. We can talk anytime.
