Don't forget the reason for the season and don't take Christ out of Christmas. I do get annoyed by the political correctness that sanitizes us even more every year. I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon. Let's call this time of year for what it really is: Christmas. Sure it's the holidays but we get time off because it's Christmas eve and Christmas. The definition of "holiday" according to wordnet.princeton.edu is "leisure time away from the work devoted to rest or pleasure." This is certainly a time to get away and take rest, but it's really a celebration of the birth of Christ. So what does that mean? I'll leave you with what's printed at the top of today's New York Times, which is in both the print and online edition: "Today is Christmas! Remember the neediest!"
Merry Christmas!!!
