Redeye

The redeye from west to east can be torture, but then again, I can be a masochist at times. I was originally scheduled to get back to JFK for a quick layover to Rome, but thankfully a month ago the boss said nix the EU trip. It's been an intense week since I left NYC last Saturday AM: in between I met old friends and fascinating new people. Since my flight wasn't till 10:45pm tonight, I met up with another couple in the area who also happen to have a newborn. Another reminder that I'm getting a bit older and everyone around me is having kids. I luv kids but I know I'm not ready quite yet, but someday I hope the Lord may bless me with child.

This was the worst diet week this year but it was inevitable with work functions and long dinners. Wednesday night we went to a winery to cap off the week and that's like putting an ex-druggie in a field of weed. Since I had fallen off the diet wagon, I diverged once more with wine. I did get to bottle my own wine, which included: washing the bottle, filling it, corking it and then labeling it. To bad I didn't bring it back because when we returned to the Ritz, we had more cocktails at the bar and I left the bottle on a random table and forgot about it when I finally retired to the room.
