No more scotch for me

What a long, hard, but fun week. Around 7:03pm I got a call from Darko asking where I was and I replied that "I'm at home chillin." I had totally forgotten that I had scheduled a dinner with Darko and a female friend at Porcao, the Brazilian steak house on Park Ave. Oh damn! I put on some clothes and scrambled for a cab to get across town. What Darko didn't know was that I had eaten a late lunch in Ktown with several other friends and I was still full and not ready to indulge in Brazilian gluttony. Porcao had about 16 different meats ready to go and I barely had any stomach capacity. I was able to consume some of the food but certainly not able to fully enjoy the carnivore's delight.

Rewind back to 4:30am and you'll see why I was so disjointed and absent minded. That's when I had fallen asleep in my bed. The evening had started out quietly by arriving at a scotch bar that a friend had rented out for the entire evening. It was his big three oh birthday and he rented out the entire restaurant. I don't drink scotch but he's a big scotch drinker so we weren't drinking anything less than Blue. We experimented with many other brands that I had never heard of but it all tasted like gasoline to me. By 2am he made an announcement that we still had to drink $2,000 more in scotch because we hadn't reached his cover, so we proceeded to order $100 scotch. Every time I took a sip, I would announce that I had drank about $20 in that one sip. So fast forward to 3:30am and all I remember was dancing with someone at a lounge down on Houston. At that point, I was not in great shape and let's say my judgment wasn't so sharp. The only thing I do remember was dancing with some hottie and by the way we were dancing, the only reason it wasn't called sex was because we had clothes on. I would provide more details but I can't remember half of it and what I do remember are "doh" moments. I did see my dance partner today at the late lunch and when we saw each other, we just gave each other the smile - y'know, the it was a fun night but let's not talk about it and only acknowledge that we were drunk and let's not share with anyone what actually happened.

So Darko, if you're reading this, you now know why I was so out of it at dinner.
