Confessions of a Korean-American Man in New York City

There's an 8 part mini-Series on ESPN that's based on the book, "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bronx is Burning." Unfortunately, the home run contest went an hour to long and the first part started later than expected. I didn't get to see the first airing, but I did meet and have lunch with Jonathan Mahler, the author of the book. How apropos that I had lunch this week with him.

I didn't read the book entirely, but he's a brilliant writer based on some of the stuff I've read already. It's not entirely a baseball book, but a story about NYC in the raucous 70s, where hedonism and depravity was the norm. It's about how New York was losing it's soul and how the Yankee's were somehow a metaphor for all of this.
