The other night we dropped by the Gramercy Tavern which was recently renovated. One of the biggest annoyances about NYC is the door policy. Unless you know someone, slip the bouncer $$$, stand with a group of half naked girls, or look fabulous like you came from Fashion Week, you're not getting in to a lot of spots. Gramercy Tavern was a reminder of that when we randomly dropped by to get drinks. It's gotten a lot stricter since it's renovations. Anyway, the reason I bring this up is that it used to have one of my favorite rooftop bars. I found this web site called LV.TV and it's got nice video review of their 3 hot rooftop bars: Cabanas, Gansevoort and 230 Fifth.
