Russian brides are to American Men as Vietnamese brides are to South Korean men? Interesting. I only wish there were articles about how Koreans are changing this world into a better place, but we'll have to leave reality TV shows as our best bet for good representation. The New York Times article today, "Korean Men Use Brokers to Find Brides in Vietnam," is the latest insight into Korean culture. It so happens to be the #1 emailed article at the time of this blog entry. As I dust off my memory, the only articles I can remember about highlighting Korean culture are the following:
- Chung is King email (Mr. Condoms)
- Korean girls slicing off their calves
- Plastic surgery gone wild in Korea
- Bon Chon Chicken
Of these, Bon Chon Chicken is the one article that doesn't make one lift an eyebrow. It is what it is... interesting.
