I've been charging hard since the beginning of the year and it's been a long time since I've had an extended vacation. A weekend get away is not a real vacation. This week has been typical of the last couple months of working out, work, then after work events or dinner with someone. I can't say it's grind because I'm enjoying most of everything, but the body naturally wears down. Mentally and physically, I'm running on fumes. Tomorrow, I'm off to Hawai'i for a week; golf and surfing will fill my sunshine days.
On a different note, Valentine's is a funny day. One of my coworkers received flowers and oranges (weird) yesterday, and I asked her who the gent was that sent her the lovely gifts. She said, he's trying hard but I can't decide. Doh! Then I spoke to another gal who told me that she was going to break up with her bf on Valentine's day, but he came to lunch with flowers and chocolate so she couldn't bring herself to do it. Doh! Ahhhhh, women!
